Knowledge Management was a new concept in Sasol and in South Africa at that stage, and I was appointed the Sasol Global Knowledge Management Advisor. I took the responsibility for developing, leading and implementing the Sasol Knowledge Management Strategy from scratch within Sasol offices in South Africa and Internationally. I started on my own and handpicked 25 knowledge management representatives from most business units within Sasol to assist me in making this a reality.
